NOTE:
Recently while doing research
about Lake
Erie State Park, I discovered that in a newspaper article printed
in the Brocton Mirror in 1931 the graves of 4 people believed
drowned in a 1849 ship wreck are off of a ship bound from Buffalo, NY
to Chicago, IL. The bodies were found by workmen excavating for the
bath house that was built on the site. The bodies were interred in the
Pecor Street Cemetery in unmarked graves.
