** Ada E. Wadsworth, 86, of Webster Road, died Thursday (Feb. 26, 2004) in Westfield Memorial Hospital. She was born July 19, 1917, in Gowanda, the daughter of Clarence E. and Bertha I. Robinson Rudd. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Woodrow W. ''Sye'' Wadsworth, whom she married Jan. 1, 1936; three daughters: Shirley Kolpien of Westfield, Laura Jean Parment of Mayville and Nancy Shaver of Ellery Center; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons: Woodrow R. and William J. Wadsworth; two brothers: Ellsworth and C. Edwin Rudd; and an infant sister.

The son of Freeman and Sally Salisbury West was b. at Scituate, Rhode Island, April 8, 1801. His father and mother were natives of the same town. The former b. in 1773 and the latter in 1780. Mr. W. came to Portland from Sangerfield, Oneida County, this state, in April 1824. He m. Fatima BARNES, dau. of Calvin Barnes, Feb. 4, 1827. Mrs. W. was b. in Norway, Herkimer County, this state, Dec 26, 1797. Mr. West lived for some years in Hanover and Westfield, this county, but eventually purchased the Calvin Barnes estate, where he now resides. Mr. W. during a long residence in P. has been actively identified with the political movements in town and often honored with places of trust by the people; was justice of the peace two terms and assessor for several years. He is a member of the Methodist church, and politically a republican. From 1830 to 1835 he commanded a military company called the Rangers. Mrs. W. d. June 14, 1872.

BROCTON - Fred D. Woleben, 88, of Webster Road, Brocton died Tuesday (Jan. 25. 2005) at home with his family at his side. He was born Nov. 12, 1916 in Portland, the son of the late Jay and Bernice (Wilber) Woleben. A resident of the Brocton/Portland area for most of his life, Mr. Woleben was a Pvt. 1st Class, U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945, serving in the European Theater. He received the European Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal .Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Elsie C. (Saunders) Woleben, whom he married Feb. 28, 1942; two sons, Fred Woleben of Jamestown and Roger Woleben of Knightdale, N.C.; two daughters, Florence Dotson of Bemus Point and Marjorie Carlson of Cassadaga; one brother, Ferris Woleben of Westfield; one sister, Leona Tranquist of Portland; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harlow, Arthur, Deforest and Clarence Woleben; a grandson, Craig Woleben; and a great-granddaughter, Misty Michelle Montgomery.

WOLEBEN Beulah A. (McIntyre) Woleben, age 88, of the Chautauqua County Home, formerly of Light Road, Westfield, died Friday (Dec. 16, 2005) at the Chautauqua County Home.
Mrs. Woleben was born July 24, 1917 at Westfield, N.Y., the daughter of the late Leroy and Winnie (Rowley) McIntyre. She was a Westfield area resident most all her life and had resided on Light Road for many years.She is survived by her two sons, Steven A. Woleben of Westfield and Timothy L. Woleben of Mentor, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Beulah is also survived by her two sisters, Beatrice Stoll of Silver Creek and Thelma Messinger of Portland and two brothers, Leon McIntyre of Brocton and Lawrence McIntyre of Brocton. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur A. Woleben, who died on July 25, 1999 and by her sister, Wilda BaumBurial will be in Portland Evergreen Cemetery

* Gladys Yebernetsky, 97, of Berry Road, Fredonia, died Saturday (Jan. 6, 2001) in the Waters of Dunkirk. She was born Oct. 31, 1903, in Wattsburg, Pa., the daughter of Philip and Mary Jane McCelland Brown. She was a Fredonia resident since 1955 and formerly lived in Mayville and Brocton.Surviving is her husband, Wasco ‘‘Lefty’’ Yebernetsky of Fredonia; a daughter, Gladys Bifaro of Naples, Fla.; two grandchildren: Wanda Calvenback and Clifford Bifaro, both of Naples; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emphiss Wood, who died in 1971; three brothers: Cecil, Charles and Ike Brown; five sisters: Mable Wood, Cora Mather, Elizabeth Howard, Hattie Erskin and Gertrude Pierce.
YEBERNETSKY Wasco, Wasco ''Lefty'' Yebernetsky, 85, of 22 Berry Road, died Sunday (Nov. 10, 2002) in Brooks Memorial Hospital. He was born April 21, 1917, in Madera, Pa., the son of Wasco and Annie Peslipsky Yebernetsky.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.He is survived by two sisters: Catherine Youhon of Brisben, Pa., and Margaret Kitko of Ohio; and three brothers: George Yebernetsky of Madera, John Yebernetsky of Dubois, Pa., and Harry Yebernetsky of Glen Hope, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Halgus Yebernetsky, who died May 1978; his second wife, Gladys Brown Yebernetsky in 2001; a brother, Michael Yebernetsky; and four sisters: Anna Daniel, Mary Fetchu, Nancy Wasilko and Evelyn Checkaneck.

She is survived by a son, Robert Young of Lake Placid, Fla., and Fairfield, Ohio; three grandchildren: Charma Weiss, Charles and Christopher Cox, all of Hamilton, Ohio; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sophia Slayton of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Young, whom she married June 10, 1936, and who died in 1990; a sister, Adaline Warnshuis; and two brothers: James and William Warnshuis.
