The subject of new roofing the ch. was considered as the tar & composition roof put on two or three years ago by Mr. Grant does not fulfil (sic) the expectations, but is found to leak and he is unwilling to take the responsibility again.
Various plans were spoken of as the taking all off (sic) down to the roof boards and then covering anew with tin with galvanized-iron & with new shingles also the shingling over what is now on, both shingled & composition.
After consultation, on motion of Mr. Pettit, Resolved that Mr. Grant procure some 50 M beech shingles as Mr. L. Ellis got from near Pine Grove, PA for his barn to use unless tin or iron sheets yet be deemed best.
Resolved to adjourn.
