A lot of Irish were recent arrivals in this country just before this war,
coming to work on the Railroads, etc, and there are so many of the same
names, in many NY towns I could not be certain of all listed here.

Jason was a Civil War veteran. He was a prosperous farmer in Concord Twp.,
Erie, Pennsylvania. He later lived at Sherman, New York.
According to the 1930 US Census, Jason was living with his daughter Ora and
her husband Jesse Blakeslee in Sparta, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. He was
85 at the time.
