corporal, then sergeant, but at the battle of the wilderness his misfortunes
began, a shot so disabling his left hand and arm that amputation was
necessary. He spent several weeks in the hospital, then was honorably
discharged and mustered out of the United States service. Discharged Nov.

born 17 April 1839 Winterswijk, Netherland, son of Jan Hendrik Reuselink and
Willemina te Siepe, to United States in 1845 with parents and siblings. He
enlisted as a private with Co. H, 112th NYS Infantry; promoted to corporal 1
Mar 1865. He married, date not known, with Elizabeth (Betsy) TenHagen who
was born 22 Oct 1848 French Creek. In 1870 and 1880 they and their children
lived in Clymer, later moved to French Creek. Their children were John W.,
b.1867 or 1868; Frank, b.1870; Walter; Martin, b.21 Sep 1910; Sarah M.
William died 31 Dec 1920 French Creek, Elizabeth died 1925, both buried
Holland Cemetery, Clymer.
