Note: This cemetery, in very poor condition, is situated on private property and cannot be seen from the Dilley Hill Road. Permission is required from the landowner in order to view this cemetery. Only a handful of stones, barely readable, are standing. Myrtle, an evasive groundcover has all but covered those headstones that are broken and have fallen. In a few short years, nature will have completely reclaimed this burial plot. According to the transcriptions compiled by Mrs. Alice Payne Garden, the oldest headstone was placed in the cemetery in 1809. The last burial, that of John Gorham (Some King Settlement Items) occurred in 1894. There are probably several other burials with no visible, documented or oral record existing. Census records also indicate individuals interred in this cemetery were landowners/neighbors on Dilley Hill Road. (DRG - 2004)
