Early settlers in the Town of Otselic (#7) of Original Twenty Towns taken from "1874 History of Chenango & Madison Counties, NY" by James H Smith; pub. 1880. Tried to use year, where stated, person and where they were from.
Otselic was formed from German, March 28, 1817. (Records of town were destroyed in 1873 fire.)
first settler - Ebenezer HILL, New England States but immediately from Syracuse

Elias BENJAMIN, Hopkinston, N.J.; moved away
Buell WARNER, brother of Ephraim, New England States,
Lewis COOK, Marlborough, Mass; returned to Mass about 1827
Aeneas THOMPSON, returned to Mass,
John and James WARNER,
Timothy Warner, brother of Buell & Ephraim, native of Granby, came from Sandersfield, Mass
