I'm very interested in a family that is found on the 1850 Barker, Broome Co. census in 1850, and then in Colesville Broome 1860 & 1870, and finally in Greene, Chenango Co. NY in 1880. Nathaniel COOK died between 1880 and 1900 and his wife is still living in Greene on the 1900 census. Nathaniel was born abt. 1822 and my goal is find his parents, I'm pretty persuaded that he is the son of Jesse COOK and Ruth KING. I've documented 4 of their children, but am missing some of them. Four of Nathaniel & Mary Mariah's children were buried in Chenango in the Lower Page Brook cemetery, but I've not located Nathaniel's burying place or death date. I'm very aware that these towns border each other on both sides of the County line. Anyone with knowledge of Nathaniel?? his wife's maiden name?, his parents?? Thanks, John b.

Seeking facts on my GG grandfather "Daniel" Dewitt Clinton CLARK and family. Dewitt C CLARK was born in Smyrna, NY in 1845. He may have gone by "Daniel". He was married to Louisa S. They "adopted" Mabel CLARK (9/1882). Her real mother is rumored to be a "Molly BRANT". Molly was allegedly a Native American. According to family legend, she worked on Dewitt C CLARK's "hops" farm near Smyrna, and Dewitt is Mabel's real father.
CLARK was also a private in Co, A 157 Regt, New York Infantry and 55 "Co, 2" Battalion veteran Reserve Corps during the Civil War. He was enrolled on the 8/11/1862. Discharged 9/15/1865, at Philadelphia PA. According to Civil War Pension records, Dewitt C CLARK was 5'7", had light complexion, blue eyes brown hair, and by occupation when enrolled, a farmer.
Any additional facts on Daniel, Mabel, Louisa S, and Molly BRANT would be greatly appreciated.

My husband's Great, great grandmother and great grandfather lived in Greene and are shown on the census for 1850, 1860, 1870. We are coming back for our third visit to their graves in October. We would like to know if there's a way that the address's where they lived could be found by the information on the census. They are buried in Rogers Cemetary. Their names are George Albert TUTTLE and Ann TUTTLE. George was a harness maker and a saddler. One of their children was Almira who was Jim's great grandmother. When he was little she taught him to read. We would really appreciate your help in finding the location where the Tuttles lived. We would really like to see it.
Thank you very much for any help you can give us.

Looking for specific death date and location for my GG grandmother, Alice Irene (HARRIS) AUSTIN from Chenango County, NY. She was born in Lewis county, NY and was married to Henry S. AUSTIN of McDonough, Chenango County, NY
Verbal family history has her working as a housekeeper for the FAIRCHILD family in either Oxford or Greene during the late 1920's or early 1930 (possibly either 1928 or 1929). She supposedly died while working in their home.
I'd like to find someone in the area who would be willing to look through the old newspapers for the area during that time period to locate a copy of her obit or perhaps research the local historian documents. I'd be willing to pay reasonable costs associated with this request or will "trade" for research in the Tioga County, area of NY.
Thanking you in advance for any assistance offered.
