Wife has since died and left 3 children now maintained by the Overseer of the Poor. These officers [of the West Indies Co.] have requested, that the said Claesen might be induced to live frugally
there, so that they could receive part of his pay for the maintenance of the children (the oldest of whom they are willing to send over, if the father is in a position to keep him), as their mother
received for the same purpose 90 fl.
