Anthony, a slave
A Morian or Angoler, from Angola, the Portuguese colony in West Africa near the river Kunene
Return voyage:
During a storm in August, 1639, the ship, lying in the harbor at Gothenburg, after its return from New Sweden, "although secured by two anchors...was driven upon sandshoals 1 1/2 fathams deep."
The ballast and cannon were removed, but it would not float and it seems that the ship foundered there, for it is mentioned no more.
