From Travis Gedcom: page 01907

Darius, a Walton farmer, had several children by his first wife Minerva but there appears to have been none by his marriage to Almeda Beers. Their household always included an Allen Goodrich, b. 1808 (probably an uncle to Almeda) and a hired girl. Her sister Polly was with them in 1870.

From: Biographical Review of Delaware Co., N. Y. in 1895, Darius Dann came to Delaware Co. before his marriage, and in the town of Franklin learned the hatter's trade of a man by the name of Northrup. After working at his trade for some time, he came to Walton, and purchasing the tract of land known as the Goodrich farm, engaged in general farming, living here nearly half a century, passing away September 9, 1891, in his 89th year. He married twice. On September 12, 1830 he wedded Minerva Seeley, a daughter of Abijah Seeley, of Franklin. She was a faithful member of the Congregational Church and died on the old homestead, September 21, 1851. She bore him five children. "...brother to Abraham Dann, Abraham married Rebecca's sister Huldah." "In addition to him and his wife, his family in 1800 consisted of 1 male 10-16 and a female under 10, they lived near Abraham and Huldah in Westchester Co., Norwalk Probate records (Vol.l, pg.10) show that a David Beers (no place of residence given) chose Enoch Dann of Salem, N. Y. to be his guardian 6 Apr. 1803 and the court approved. To choose his own guardian a boy would have had to be about 14 years of age, possible making him born about 1789. Because he probably relates to this Beers family, he is noted here."
