The purpose the this web site is to provide genealogy and local history information, links, resources, records and message boards for people researching their roots in Cortland County, NY.
The site includes pages for:

Census data and indexes, cemetery records, online books, vital records and other data. Includes search engine links and records by town.
- Military
Revolutionary and Civil War data, including pension - bounty land records and unit information. Also includes an ancestors "Roll of Honor" for Civil War service.
- Submitted Data
Family genealogies, migrations patterns, lost souls database, rogue's gallery, land records, bible records, pictures, obituaries and family notes.
- Volunteer / Submitter Page
Explanation of how to submit data to the GenWeb project, along with a list of volunteers and submitters and available projects for those who wish to volunteer.

Query and surname listings and entry page link. Also a mailing list page, and links to GenConnect system and Rootsweb cluster.
- Query Entry
Query entry form. Also includes links to GenConnect system pages and to the query and surname listings.
- Geographic data
Gazeetter entries and maps of the area, records by town, town overviews and clerk - historian information. Also includes Historical Society pages and/or links.
- GenWeb
Search engine, update logs, auto notify page, site map, guestbook and GenWeb news. Also links to other GenWeb pages not only on the county, state and national level, but also a Central NY Genwebs navigation tool.
