SMITH - CONRAD - COMSTOCK
Query Text: I believe I have ancestors in Cortland County. I know that I have ancestors in Broome County.
My Truman Comstock SMITH and Hannah Henrietta CONRAD came from there.
I belive that Truman's father MAY have been Enoch SMITH, born in RI, but living most or much of his life in Cincinnatus NY. Truman's mother may have been Eunice COMSTOCK, born in Connecticut. She had a brother Truman Comstock.
This is speculation. I am not even certain where in Broome County These Smiths lived. I suspect, from looking at the map, that they perhaps lived in the north part of the county.
Just wondering if there might be signs of these folks in Cortland county?
