George Bentley (?) was born Abt 1831 in England. He married Susanna Owen April 19, 1854 in Homer, Cortland Co. NY.

George Bentley Co. served in Company B 3rd Reg't, Wis Inf 1864-1865. Military pension papers show affidavits indicating a hernia, George stating that he has worn a truss for 5-6 years etc. Also mention of the fact that the name is spelled BENTLEY, not BENTLY; some of his papers came back saying his enlistment records were not found, so it must be due to the spelling error, which appears to have been straightened out.

Children of George Bentley and Susanna Owen are:
1. Robert Bentley, born July 02, 1855.
2. George Bentley, born Abt 1857.
3. Frances Bentley, born October 04, 1859 in Lomira, Dodge Co. WI; died February 28, 1927 in Fond du Lac Co. WI.
