IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN
William Thomas of Lapeer in the county of Cortland, Yeoman, being mindful of my mortality, do this third day of May in the year of our Lord 1854 make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner following.I desire to be decently buried in the Church yard
I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elenor E. Thomas one half of all my real and personal property for her use her life time, and at her death to Be divided equal among the Ayrs of the said William Thomas.
Also I give and bequeath unto my son William H. Thomas, the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars.
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Laura A. Thomas, the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars.
Also I give and bequeath unto my son James L. Thomas the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars.
Also I give and bequeath unto my son Edwin P. Thomas the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars.
To be paid unto them respectively so soon as the youngest of them shall Become twenty one.
All the rest and residue of my personal estate Whatsoever and Wheresoever of What nature kind and quality soever the same may be and not herein Before given and disposed of after payment of my debts, legacies and funeral Expenses I do give and bequeath unto my wife Elenor E. Thomas, her Executors administrators and assigns to and for her and there own use and Benefit absolutely, and I do hereby constitute and appoint my said wife Elenor E. Thomas sole Executrix of this my last will and testament.
