SEABURN/SEABORN/SEBURN. Wondering whether anyone has researched the surname from the old "Fishkilltown" area, perhaps now LaGrange, Dutchess Co., abt 1800. My Robert WASHBURN, originally from Westchester Co., lived in LaGrange area from about 1800-1818, near his brothers Darius and Silas, had a wife whose first name is not known. She would have been b. abt 1780. Robert's first son was named Silas WASHBURN (after Robert's father); his second son was named Seaburn WASHBURN (b. 1815). As Seaburn is an unusual first name I looked it up as a surname in Dutchess Co. and found the family of Isaac SEABURN for one, but his children are pretty well accounted for. There does not appear to be a "stray" daughter who would or could have married Robert WASHBURN ca. 1805-1810. Catharine Helck pp002531@lmindspring.com 0697
