I am looking for information on my great grandmother, Salina TRUEHART. We have no records in the family about her except that she married Harry FORSYTHE in Easthampton, Mass. On the marriage cert. it states only that she was born in New York State (probably about 1870). I found a Selena TRUEHART in the Soc. Sec. records born 1884 in Derby, NY, so I suspect that my Salina TRUEHART was born in this area. Also a family tradition that she was an American Indian. Also..I found a Christopher TRUEHART who had a child in Easthampton, Mass; the mother being 'Salina'. Could these be my grandmother's parents? If so they probably came from NY. Any help with information on her and her family would be appreciated.

Am looking for information about two families in Erie County. The first is the family of Nancy HOIL. She was born in Lancaster county PA in November of 1806. She and her family moved to Erie county in 1809. She and her family lived in Erie county until she was married about 1827 to Benjamin BAER who was born about 1800, I don't know where. The Baers are the second family I am looking for information about. After their marriage, Benjamin took a job running a mill at the head of the Welland Canal. He would not take up arms against the US in Mackenzies insurrection and came back to the US.They stayed in Erie county for a couple more years and went to Stark county Ohio. When Benjamin BAER dies in 1849 the rest of the family returns to Erie county. They stay until 1855 and then go to White county to stay. The children of Benjamin BAER and Nancy Hoil BAER are David, born in Erie county in 1827, Joseph,Elizabeth,Levi,Martin, and Benjamin.Does any of this sound familiar? Any i! nformation would be appreciated, I am particularly looking for both Benjamin BAER and Nancy Hoil Baers parents. Thanks

Searching for the elusive Samuel or Stephen Dennis LONG, born February 15, 1837. The family story is that he was born in 'Wales' (I have reason to believe around the Wales area in Erie County.) His parents died when he was about 12 years of age leaving him and 2 sisters. Supposedly he was somewhat of a black sheep--and may have even changed his name. He married Mary Anna KIRKPATRICK in Machias, NY on April 21, 1857 and had at least one child there, Mary Jane, born January 5, 1858 They moved to Illinois and settled for awhile in Aurora IL and then moved to Will County IL. He has been impossible to track and I would appreciate any advice or help.
