State of New York...On this 5th day of May 1853 Greene County SS} personally appeared before me Alexander H. Bailey Judge of Greene County courts in the state aforesaid Elizabeth Johnson a resident of Jewett in the County and state aforesaid aged seventy-three years who first being duly sworn according to law doth on her oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefits of the provisions made by the act of Congress passed the 3 day of February 1853 granting pensions to widows of pensioners who served during the Revolutionary War that she Is the widow of Ebenezer Johnson who was a private in the Revolutionary Army that he was in his life time and until his death a pensioner of the United States that in regard to the nature of service and Officers under whom he served she refers to the evidence filed upon his application in the pension Office at Washin8ton. She further declares that she was married to the said Ebenezer Johnson on the 28th day of March in the year 1831 that her said husband died on the 2 day of October in the year 1845 at Lexington in the county and state aforesaid. That she was not married to him prior to the second day of January Eighteen hundred but at the time above stated She further declares that she is now a widow.

Married by me on the 28th day of March 1 Ebenezer Johnson aged 65 years to Elisabeth Hull aged forty-seven years both to me well known and both residents of the town of Lexington in the county of Greene and State of New York

On this 14th day of June 1855 before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the County and State aforesaid personally appeared Elisabeth Johnson aged 73 years who being duly sworn according to law declares that she is the widow of Ebenezer Johnson who was a private in the Revolutionary War. As to the company, regiment and other particulars you are referred to evidence on file in your office by which a Pension Certificate was granted to the said Elisabeth Johnson under the Act of Feb 3rd 1853--she further states that she was married to the said Ebenezer Johnson at Lexington on the 26th day of March 1839 by one Henry _____ a Justice of the Peace and that her name before her said marriage was Elisabeth Hall, That her said husband died at Lexington on the 2nd day of Oct. 1843 and she is now a widow and she believes that the original certificate of her marriage was forwarded with the other evidence at the time above mentioned. She makes this petition for the purpose of obtaining the bounty(?) and to which she is entitled under the Act of March 3rd 1855 never haying received bounty land or knowing that she is entitled except for the above Service
