Know all men by these present that the Thomas E. Barker and James Thompson, Administrators of all singular the goods and rights and credits which were of Phineas Canfield, deceased, of Freehold in the county of Greene for and in consideration of the laws one hundred and eighty one dollars, lawful money of the State of New York.

To them in hand paid by Sandford Tracy, at or beforehand enclosing and delivery of their presence the receipts whereof as hereby acknowledge more by virtue of an order made by John H. Cuyler Esz. Surrogate of the county of Greene in the words following, to wit That ye, the said Thomas and James, do hereby order and direct you to sell and dispose to much of the said estate of the said Phineas Canfield as will be sufficient to pay and to satisfy all the debts due, demand, what so ever, against the estate of said Phineas Canfield, given under my hand at Coxsackie this 9th day of July 1801 John H. Cuyler, Surrogate of the County of Greene.

Granted, bargained, sold, assigned, transferred and set over to the said Sanford Tracy, his heir executors, administrators and assigns for which the within written indentures and lands. __________ therein mentioned and described and the rents now due these on and all the covenants and conditions therein specified and contained together with all the estates, rights, titles, interests, property claims and demands whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the said Phineas Canfield, deceased, with the privileges and appurtenances where unto belonging to none and to hold the said indenture and other promises inforesaid with all these appurtenances and to the law. Sanford Tracy, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this fifth day of October, in the year of our Lord, 1801.
