David Johnson and Hiram Stone do certify that at a meeting of the persons composing the Cairo Baptist Church and Society meeting in Akre convened at the house of public worship of said Society this the twenty fourth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight agreeably to public notice pursuant to the Statutes in such case made and provided being nominated by a majority of the members of said Church and Society then present to preside at an election of Three Trustees for said Society then to be held did preside at such Election and that William Telfair Gifford, William Dedrick and Hiram Stone were the persons duly elected by a plurality of voices as the Trustees of the said Cairo Baptist Church & Society meeting in Akre   In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year above written.

Greene County     SS    I certify that on the 10th day of August in the year of our Lord 1829 before me Perkins King a Judge of the Court of  Common Pleas in and for said county.  Hiram Stone and David Johnson whom I know severally acknowledged that they had executed the within certificate for the uses and purposes therein mentioned   Let it be Recorded
