In Pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of New York entitled “An act to provide for the incorporation of Religious Societies  passed the 27th day of March 1801.  The Members of the Baptist Society in the Village of Cats Kill convened at the Court house in said Village on the 4th day of August 1809, after due and legal notification for the purpose of forming themselves into a Society in conformity with the directions of the said Act, when the Subscribers were chosen to preside in said meeting and received the votes of the Members present – And we do Certify that Messrs Hiland Hill, George Henry, and Peter Thurston were duly elected Trustees of the said Society by the name and title of Trustees of Zions Church in Cats Kill, In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and Seals this 10th day of August 1809.

Be it remembered that on the 10th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Nine came before me Caleb Benton one of the Judges of the (Court of - crossed out on original document) Common pleas for the County of Greene the above named Peter Thurston & Hiland Hill to me known who severally acknowledged that they executed the above Instrument for the purposes therein expressed and I having examined the said Instrument and finding no alterations therein do allow it to be Recorded.
