Coxsackie April 7, 1834   at a meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Coxsackie  Greene Co., N. Y.  held in the Baptist meeting house Olney F. Wright was chosen Chairman and Moses H. Powell Secretary

1st Resolved   that we form ourselves into a Society called the first Baptist Society in Coxsackie.

2nd Resolved   that we proceed to appoint five trustees a majority of whom shall be members off the Baptist Church.

3rd Resolved   that Lewis Baker and Edwin S. Keep be inspectors of the election of trustees.

4th Resolved     that the following persons be elected trustees of this society vis—Ambrose Baker, David French, Lewis Town  James C. Smith and Cummings Carman

Lewis Town            }
Cummings Carman  }   Class No  1   for one year

David French          }
A. Baker                 }  Class No 2 for  2 years

James C. Smith       } Class No 3 for 3 years

We do hereby certify that the above  is a correct copy of the proceedings of said meeting in witness whereof we do hear fix our hands and seals this 7th day of April A. D. 1834                                                           Edwin L. Keep
