We Abel Wakely and Nathan Botsford two of the members of the Presbyterian Society of Greeneville and _____ Elders in the church elected by a plurality of votes, to hold and Election for Trustees of said society to all whom it may concern—do certify and make Known, that pursuant to an Act of the Legislature of the State of New York entitled “An Act to provide for the Incorporation of Religious Societies” the male person of full age belonging to the said Presbyterian Society of Greenville did assemble and meet together, on the third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty six—at the meeting house in Greenville the place at which they statedly  attend for divine worship for the purpose of electing Trustees for the said society,  the said society having been publicly notified of the tine and place of such meeting,  previous thereto in the manner prescribed in and by the said Act, and that the said male persons belonging to  the said society did then and there determine that seven Trustees should be appointed to take charge of the Estate and property belonging to the said society and to transact all affairs, relative to the Temporalities of the said society and that the title of Trustees of said society should be the trustees of the Presbyterian society of Greenville, as the title name and title by which the said trustees shall forever hereafter be called, distinguished, and Known, and that there upon on the same day, year and place above mentioned an election was held for Electing such trustees and James Stevens, Thomas Conklin, Asher Morse, William Norten, Abijah Reed, Sheldon Cherritree and Levi Calender were by a plurality of votes elected Trustees of the said society.

                    In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand and seals the day and year first above written.

County of Greene  SS               1826  personally came before me Levi Callender Commissioner, Abel Wakely, Nathan Bostford and acknowledged that they had executed the above Instrument for the uses and Purpose therein mentioned
