incorporation of the Prattsville Methodist Episcopal Church Recorded in Book A
of Miscellaneous Records page 125

At
a meeting of the male persons belonging to the Methodist Episcopal Church and
Congregation or Society in the town of Windham and county of Greene in pursuance
of the act Entitled an act to provide for the incorporation of religious
Societies “passed April 5, 1813 for the purpose of electing discreet persons
of said Society or congregation as trustees of said church or congregation –
we Philip Conine and Samuel Tompkins having been nominated and elected to
preside at said meeting do hereby Certify in pursuance of said act that the
following persons were elected by a plurality and the highest number of votes to
serve as trustees for said church and congregation as follows
Viz—Ard Osborn, John Kurau & Leverett Munson and that the said
trustees and their Successors in office shall for ever be called and known by
the name and title of the trustees of the Second Methodist Episcopal Church in
Windham. County of Greene – in testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hand
and seals this 6th day of April 1832

a meeting held at the School house in School district No 5 in the town of
Windham County of Greene April 6th 1832 according to public notice given according to law for the
purpose of electing trustees to superintend the building a meeting house in
said town Philip Conine & Samuel Tompkins were appointed to preside
at said meeting & the following persons were elected as trustees vis
Ard Osborn, Jon Kurau and Leverett Munson.

Samuel Tompkins, known to me to be the individuals described in and who executed
the within instrument and who did acknowledge
that they executed the same for the use and purposes within mentioned and let
