Samuel Allen sale of slave to William & Aaron Brandow.
To all Christian people to whom these present shall or come
Greeting ________ that I, SAMUEL
ALLEN of Catskill in the County of Albany and State of New York, for the
consideration of fifty pounds, current money of the state aforesaid to me in
hand whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have bargained and in open market sold
unto WILLIAM and AARON BRANDOW of the same place and county aforesaid my ____
part Negro Wench, named SARA
about twenty three years of age to have and to hold the said Negro Wench
unto them the said William and Aaron Brandow, their heirs and assigns forever
and I do hereby bind myself and my heirs and assigns to warrant the said Negro
Wench called Sara unto them the said William and Aaron Brandow, their heirs and
assigns against the claim of all and every person whatsoever in Witness whereof
I have here set my hand an seal this 16th day of July one thousand seven hundred
and ninety (1790).
