Last Will and Testament of Francis Claw

In the name of God amen  I Francis Claw of the town of Athens County of Greene & State of New York, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life & being of sound mind and perfect mind & memory bless the Almighty God for the same do make & publish this my last Will and Testament in manor and form following that is to say_

First I give and bequeath unto my oldest son Garret all my lands of real estate wheresoever situated to hold to him his heirs & assigns forever

Secondly I give and bequeath unto my son John four hundred dollars which said sum my son Garret must pay him within two years after my decease in lieu of his share of the real estate_ _ _

I give to my beloved wife Getty Claw six silver spoons marked with the initials of her name. One bed and bedding_ _ _

I give to my daughter Lena two cows and four sheep one bed & bedding over and above her share of the personal property hereafter to be disposed of_ _ _

I will that my wife Getty shall have during her life one third of the produce of the farm with the exclusive privilege[?] to one room of my present dwelling house and all the furniture and one cow and that my daughter Lena & her two children remain with her until she or they shall marry or on any other account shall wish to remain_ _ _

I give to my granddaughter Jane Van Hoesen a note I hold against John Conine for one hundred dollars_ _

I will that all my personal property excepting such as is already disposed of be equally divided among all my daughters six months after my decease_ _ _

I will that the personal property which my wife Getty holds during her lifetime be equally divided among all my daughters immediately after her decease_ _ _

Lastly I will that Nicholas Van Loon & William Tully of the town of Athens aforesaid be Executors of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof  I have hereunto set my hand & seal the Second day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred & seventeen_ _
