-Society Projects-
Our Current Project is the Restoration of the Battle of Boquet River Battle Monument aka the Willsboro Battle Monument. Dedicated on the Centennial of the Battle in 1914 in Willsboro, New York.
This is the Only Monument known, ever dedicated to the Battle.
We will be teaming up with the Town of Willsboro and local Organizations
to Restore this Monument and to Rededicate the Monument
and the Land surrounding it in 2014 in time for the Bicentennial.
The Scroll work and Text of the Plackard on the Monument.
Condition of the Monument
It is built of stone and the mortar is cracked in most joints and has fallen out of some.
The plaque itself measures 18 inches by 24 inches. In the sentence (Officers known to have, etc.)
the H is missing due to a bullet hole in the plaque.
We will be completely Restoring and Stabilizing the Monument and Plackard.
