that do not require in depth research.

for $5.00, the four following items: (Charge does not
apply to members of the Society)

notices from newspapers

- Cemetery
card file
If you desire
further research the fee will be an additional $25.00,
unless you are a member of the Herkimer County Historical Society.
Please send
all queries through the mail or through e-mail herkimerhistory@yahoo.com
after making payment (see below) and include the following information:
- Subject
of research
- Approximate
date of information you are looking for
- Town,
if known
- Your name,
address and email address with your request
If this is
a genealogy request please tell us as much as you know about the following:
- Name of
person
- Place
and date of birth, marriage and/or death
- Exactly
what you are looking for
Please
note: Due to the nature of our research materials, requests for information
about people in the time period 1850-1920 should be more successful. If
your ancestors only moved through Herkimer County on their way west, we
may not have any information on them. Please look at the "Society
Information" page to see what research resources we have available.
Payment for
research can be made over the phone using a visa or mastercard or by mailing
a check to our address: Herkimer County Historical Society, 400 North
Main St., Herkimer, NY 13350.
