THE LONGEST BARN IN NEW YORK STATE


The barn was built across a little valley between two hills. Here the entrance to the barn is built up of limestone, and it was over this causeway the horses drew the hay into the barn, to be pitched down into the mows below. Perhaps a more modern photo, it shows the entrance to the mows blocked off by stakes, and what looks like lumber piled just inside the door.
