1. SIMEON BROWN, (son of NATHANIEL & SARAH (DOTY) BROWN) was born 15 May 1806 in Fairfield, Herkimer County. SIMEON, a shoemaker, and LUCINDA, his wife, came with their 2 sons George and Greenlief moved to Brownville in 1834 per Greenliefs' own statement in an interview later in life. The family was not in Herkimer in 1835 which lends evidence to this. The family lived either in the town of Brownville or on Pillar Point. The evidence suggests Pillar Point. They had 3 other sons all born in Jefferson Co. He died 16 March 1893 in St Clair, St Clair, MI (questionable). He married 19 June 1825 in Salisbury, Herkimer, NY LUCINDA BURLINGAME, who was the daughter of ASAHEL & BARBARA (BRIGGS) BURLINGAME. She was born 19 September 1804 in Norway, Herkimer, NY. She died 31 January 1895 in Riley, St Clair, MI. Children, BROWN: 2 i GEORGE BROWN married ELEANOR (---) 3 ii GREENLIEF BROWN married SUSAN R. WOOLSEY 4 iii MALCOM/MALVIN C. BROWN 5 iv HAZEN W. BROWN 6 v ALDEN S. BROWN 2. GREENLIEF BROWN (son of SIMEON & LUCINDA (BURLINGAME) BROWN) was born 1 May 1826 in Columbus, St. Clair, MI. By 1846 both George and Greenlief were sailors on the Great Lakes, which eventually led both brothers to resettle in Pt Huron, St Clair, MI. Greenlief actually settled in Rattle Run, a wide spot in the road outside of Pt Huron with his wife. He died 1 May 1906 in Columbus, St. Clair, MI. He married on Pillar Point on the 8 February 1853 SUSAN R. WOOLSEY, who was the daughter of JAMES LLOYD & ROXELANE (ACKERMAN) WOOLSEY. She was born on Pillar Point 14 August 1836. Their children were all born after the move to St. Clair in 1856. Susan died 29 January 1916 in Columbia Twp, St Clair, MI. Children, BROWN: 7 i GEORGE S. BROWN 8 ii FRANK J. BROWN 9 iii ORA A.
