She was born 8 Dec 1798 in Springfield, Vermont and died in 1881 at Black River, Town of LeRay, Jefferson County but was buried in the Redwood Cemetery with her husband. He died 22 Sep 1909 at Redwood, and is buried in Redwood Cemetery, where is middle initial is recorded as *m*. He married 14 Aug 1856 LAURA T. STEVENS, who was born on a farm in Vermont 2 nov 1825. She died 7 Jul 1903 and is buried in Redwood Cemetery with her husband. Children, BUTTERFIELD: 20 i LAURA BUTTERFIELD married CYRIL WATSON 8. CHARLES EMERSON BUTTERFIELD (son of FRANCIS & POLLY (MCALLASTER) BUTTERFIELD) was born 4 Jul 1828 at Redwood, Town of Alexandria, Jefferson County NY. By 1850, when he was married, he had left Jefferson County for Bellvue, Sarpy County, Nebraska, where it appears he spent the rest of his life. There his children were born, and there he died 24 May 1884. He married about 1850 at Bellvue ISABELLE STEBBINS who was the daughter of JOEL & ROSE (CALVIN) STEBBINS. She was born in New York State 20 Aug 1833. She died 28 Jan 1907 at Neola, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, and was buried 30 Jan 1907 at Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.
