1. JOHN EDMONDS, born 1784 in New York State and died in 1872 is buried
in the Adams Cemetery, Adams, Jefferson County NY.

He married 

PHOEBE COX, born 1788 also in New York State.  She died 1884 is buried with
her husband in the Adams Cemetery.  They were the parents of six children.

2.  RICHARD EDMONDS (son of JOHN & PHOEBE (COX) EDMONDS) was 
a native of Jefferson County, NY, born April 4, 1821.  RICHARD EDMONDS
resided on the farm with his father until his marriage to Lucinda  
Weaver, according to the History of Clayton County, Iowa, published in the  
1800s.  RICHARD EDMONDS was an Iowa pioneer.

He married Sept. 17, 1844.  

LUCINDA WEAVER who was born in Utica, NY, and was a daughter of
JACOB & MARY WEAVER, also of that state.
