I. JOHN MAIN was born March 14, 1791 in England. He came to the town of
Wilna, before 1825, from Gates Head on the Tyne, England. He died in the town
of Wilna January 28, 1848.

He married 

ELIZABETH SMITHSON.  Elizabeth was born July 10, 1799, in England,
and came to America, at about age 16, with her parents. She died March 26,
1879.
