PIONEER PARRISH FAMILY


 
1.  JOHN PARRISH, Jr (son of JOHN & ELIZABETH (RICE/ROYCE)
PARRISH, Sr.) was born Jun 1777 at Livingston Manor, Columbia Co, NY.
They moved to Town of Pamelia, Jefferson County in 1803 and settled on 60
acres. There John became a successful farmer and noted hunter as well as a
devout member of the Methodist Episcopal church.  He died 5 Feb 1850.

He married

RUTH FARR, who was born 24 Jul 1783.  They had 10 children, two of whom
died young.  She died 23 Dec 1842 at the Town of Pamelia, NY and was buried
in the Parrish Cemetery there.

2.  JOHN LYMAN PARRISH (son of JOHN & RUTH (FARR) PARRISH, Jr)
was born 1 May 1819 at Town of Pamelia, Jefferson County, one of ten children. 
He died 1902 and was buried in the Parrish Cemetery, Town of Pamelia.

He married 17 Feb 1841

ELIZA ANN RANDALL, who was born 19 Feb 1809 in the Town of Rutland,
the daughter of RUELL & MARGARET (PARRISH) RANDALL.  She died 1898
and was buried in the Parrish Cemetery.
