1. PRESERVED REDWAY, son of James and Mehitable (Bliss) Redway, was born July 14, 1764 in Rehoboth, Mass. He moved with his parents to Killingly, Conn. He served in the Revolutionary War, enlisting first in the 4th Co., 19th MA Regiment, then in New York, and last at Killingley CT in July 1780. He served to 1 Jan 1781 as a private in Capt. Robert Warner's Co., Col. Willy's 3rd CT Regiment. He again elisted in 1781 as a Corporal in the same company and regiment. He was discharged on 31 Dec 1783. After the war he lived in Somers, Tolland Co., CT, then Galway, Saratoga Co. NY. He moved to Adams, Jefferson Co. between 1810 and 1812. Preserved died 25 Apr 1837 in Adams and is buried at Rural Cemetery, Adams.
