JACOB PETER WAGONER (son of Lt JOHANN PETER and ANNA (BELL) WAGNER) was born 11 Mar 1797 probably at Ft. Wagner near Nelliston. He and his wife raised eight of their ten children in the Mohawk Valley. Sometime after son David was born, they migrated north to Jefferson County as did many of their friends and neighbors, settling in the town of Clayton, where Mary Martha was born. Jacob Peter died 26 Apr 1863 Alexandria Bay NY; and is buried in the Walton Street Cemetery there. He married 3 May 1818 Ft. Plain Reformed Dutch Church CAROLINE ABEEL, daughter of JACOB and ELIZABETH (FOX) ABEEL, who was born 28 Feb 1798 probably at Ft. Plain NY. A petite woman, the family's affluence depended on her hard work as much as her husband's. She died 6 Dec 1876 at Alexandria Bay and is buried in Walton Street Cemetery with her husband. Fred Benjamin EMMA FILOW, who was born in the Town of Alexandria 5 Mar 1887, daughter of ELMER and ELVA (---) FILOW. She died in the Town of Alexandria 3 Jan 1937 and was buried in Highland Park Cemetery at Alexandria Bay.
