1. HORACE WOOD was born 1817 at Longmeadow, MA. Details on HORACE WOOD
are sketchy. Their first child was born in Jefferson County, we assume
near Theresa. He and MELISSA moved to Hermon, NY approximately 1845.
During the Civil war, he was in the 1st Regiment New York Light Artillery
Co "D". Horace died 20 April 1864 in Kalorama GH, Washington D.C. Any
details on Horace would be much appreciated.
He married in Jefferson County by Alpheus Hines
MELISSA BENNETT who was born 1819 in Theresa, Jefferson County. She died
after 1870 in Hermon, St.Lawrence County NY
