1.  JAMES LLOYD WOOLSEY (son of Gen. MELANCTHON LLOYD & ALIDA
(LIVINGSTON) WOOLSEY of Lloyds' Neck, Long Island and Plattsburgh, Clinton, NY)
was born 25 February 1788 in Plattsburgh, Clinton, NY.  James Lloyd WOOLSEY was 
not only a son of Revolutionary War General Melancthon Lloyd Woolsey but the 
brother of the General of Sackets Harbor Melancthon Taylor WOOLSEY and one of 
the earliest settlers of Sackets Harbor.  The Gen. built the Woolsey Mansion 
there, still standing, 1998.  It is likely that James stayed with his brother 
a while before he finally met up with Roxelane, as her family resided on 
Pillar Point.  James was likley involved in the War of 1812, as his grave 
marker is decorated yearly.  He was a farmer thereafter.  1820-c.1830 they 
lived in Houndsfield; 1835-1857 lived on Pillar Point near David Ackerman, 
(unless the Pillar point area was under the Houndsfield town name at that time).   
19 Feb 1857 the family moved to Easton, Adams, Wisconsin.  Many of Roxelane's 
brothers moved about the same time to various parts of Iowa, Wisconsin and 
Minnesota.  Their daughter, Susan R. (Woolsey) BROWN moved to St Clair, MI.
JAMES WOOLSEY died 7 January 1870 Easton, Adams, WI.

He married c 1820 on Pillar Point or Sacketts Harbour, NY 

ROXELANE ACKERMAN, daughter of ROBERT & ROXELANE (CHILDS) ACKERMAN
of Saratoga County, NY.  She was born 20 June 1803 in Ballstown, Saratoga, NY 
and died 4 April 1875 in Easton, Adams, WI.

*No known grave for these children so it is somewhat questionable, as
Henry and Theodosia have markers in Sherwins Bay Cemetary.  The 1850
census does not list them either.
Most of the Woolseys in Easton are buried on a family plot known as
Woolsey Cemetary.  For all the above children hardly any Woolseys
carried on the name.
