This community was startled and
shocked Wednesday morning when a telephone message announced the death of Thomas
Gilloughly at High Market. He had moved his family Nov 1 to the Patrick
Murphy Farm, which he had leased for a year. Mr Gilloughly was well known
throughout this section.
Tuesday he rode with a neighbor to the town house,
where he cast his vote, and was in the best spirits and apparent good
health.
Wednesday morning at an early hour, while repairing the pump, he fell
adn expired immediatley.
By his death his wife, who was Miss Mary Wetmore, is
left with a family of seven small children. Mr Gilloughly was of jovial
disposition, devoted to his family and a kind neighbor. His sudden death
is calling forth sympathy from all.
He was a member of St Patricks
Church. The funeral will be held Saturday at St Patricks
Church,Highmarket, Rev T.J. OBrien officiating.
