Tombstone reads:
"JOHN
REED
Soldier of the
Revolution
1763-1837
POLLY
HIS WIFE
1767-1834"

note: I have been doing alot
of research for him and I believe that "Polly" that is listed on the stone is
suppose to be "Dolly" and the birth year 1769 and not 1767. I have talked
with several researched about this and they agree with this. John Reed
married Dorothea Sutz in Montgomery county and the D and P could have been
easily mixed up with handwritten pages and also the 9 and the 7. The
tombstone is a newer tombstone and believe to be placed several years after his
death. by Michelle
