The body of Christopher Campany, 87 who died at the Lewis County Home, Lowville was brought to the Nortz Undertaking parlors on Friday and the funeral was held on Monday at 10 o'clock in St. Stephen's Church. Rev. Martin O'Kane, O.F.M. was the celebrant at a requiem high mass. Bearers were William Bush, Edward Ver Schneider, Francis Lallier and Fred Shimbourne. Burial was made in St. Stephen's Cemetary. Mr. Campany spent most of his life in the vicinity of Croghan and Indian River. For several years he resided alone at Indian River, and in November 1933, he was taken to the County Home at Lowville, where he resided until his death Friday pm. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and one son who resides in Carthage, and one son whose whereabouts are unknown. There are also two half brothers George of Lowville and John.
