Do you have records that go back to the 1778-1830? Do you have any records of Federick Brim who lived in both Cazenovia as well as Union. Are there records for Both places Cazenovia and Union? I have some strong clues that my Great, Great Grandfather was born in (or near) Morrisville, NY. His name was Delos CARY, born abt. 1808. His wife's name was Sarah A. SEAMANS, b. abt. 1817. She was also born in this area, possibly Oneida, NY. The 1850 Federal Census shows them living in Pompey, NY (Onondaga County), however, the 1860 Census shows them living in Smithfield (Peterboro post office). In 1860, Delos would have been 52 and I believe he may have died in Smithfield (death date unknown). His occupation on the 1860 Census lists him as a "farm laborer."
Delos & Sarah Cary had at least 12 children (according to the 1850 & 1860 Censuses). In alphabetical order, they were: Amanda Cary, b. 1847; Burton Cary, b. 1852; Delburt Cary, b. 1857; Edwin Cary, b. 1843; Francis (Frank) Cary, b. 1840; Frederick Cary, b. 1858; Homer Cary, b. 1851; Marshall Cary, b. 1838; Morris A. Cary, b. 1845/6; Sarah Cary, b. 1841; Warren D. Cary, b. 1844; Wesley Cary, b. 1854. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
