Oliver "Moses" Barrett d 1830 age 79, buried Evergreen Cemetery, Cazenova, Madison County, New York. There is a Hannah Fuller Barrett buried there also but since there are no dates, I don't know if this is wife or daughter.
His son, David Barrett b 21 Feb 1777 m Deborah Fisher abt 1797, he d. 17 Mar 1840 in Kingsville,Ashtabula Co, OH. David & Deborah Fisher Barrett may have lived in Muir, Ionia Co., MI. Does someone have the book "Records of Revolutionary War Veterans in Madison Co" by Isabel Bracy? I am trying to find the parents of Rebecca ( ? ) Baker, born 1782 in Washington County. She is buried in a family cemetery on the Leggett Farm in Crescent Valley along with her husband Nathaniel, three daughters and a Margaret and Murty Welch.
Murty was born ca 1747 and died in 1831. Margaret died in 1853 Could someone look him up in Madison book to see if this Welch family is in there.Thanks in advance.

Samuel D. BRONSON, son of Asher BRONSON/BROWNSON married Sarah Lavern DAVIS in the town of Cazenovia. Sarah was born in 1857 and her husband in 1851. Asher was born in Cuyler County and is buried in North Brookfield. THOMPSON HINDS
I visited an old, uncared-for (thorns, scrub, apple trees) cemetery (located north of the county road between the Village of Madison and Madison Center to its east) and placed flags at the gravetones of Captains Israel THOMPSON and Timothy HINDS of the Revolutionary War era. There are other gravestones too; all have either fallen over or have been moved to lean against a tree. Most are slate gravestones. The captains have two stones, one with their name and rank, date of death and age, and a verse; the other has just their initials. There are two cemeteries located here, adjacent to and abutting each other. One is being cared for and has recent interments from the Williams family of Hamilton. The American Legion posts of Madison and Hamilton would like to restore these cemeteries. Does anyone have any information about these men and the cemeteries? Were they included on the DAR inventory? There are rumors that the remains have been removed and re-interred into the cemetery in the Village of Madison; this has yet to be determined.

Census for 1850 Fenner, Madison County, NY shows Reuben age 40 Mary age 37 with the following children: Levi-16 Fen L -13 Mary E-11 Reuben 9-David -7 Charles 4 and Lousia 1. This family showed up in Burke, Dane County, WI on the 1860 census. Another daughter was born there Alice Augusta.
Levi married Sarah Bartholomew - Fen L married Nancy Jane Brink and Charles died in Southern prison camp.Louisa married Philander Witheral- Alice married Stainbrook and then Brink and Mary E married Samuel E Stainbrook. Does anyone know who Mary was that Reuben married?

My greatgrandfather and my great-great grandfather both lived in Sullivan, Madison Co. NY. Ralph GRAVES appears in the census1840-1890. I have the names of all of his children. My Great grandfather, his son, was Charles Randolph GRAVES. I know that he married Louisa ARMBRUSTER and that Charles and Louisa moved to Buffalo, NY. O'MALLEY LYNCH CAVISH
Searching for decendants of Sarah CAVISH O'MALLEY who arrived in Morrisonville, NY in 1856 from Co Mayo, Ire. presumably a widow, with 6 children. One son, John J. O'MALLEY married Bridget LYNCH (don't know where) and had 2 daughters born in Eaton, Madison Co, NY in 1860 and 1862. He then moved his family to WI, farmed, had more children and died and is buried in Rock Co, WI. One daughter, Ellen O'MALLEY, married Dominic KENNEDY in Pierceville, Madison Co, NY in 1865 and also moved to Rock Co, WI. I have made contact with the decendants of Ellen. We are looking for any information on the Lowe Family of Madison County, NY. In 1850, Thomas Lowe and his family emigrated to America from Norfolk County, England. Landing in Quebec Canada, he proceeded to Madison County, New York. His first wife Martha died in Englnd and he later married Sarah ?? from central NY. Thomas Lowe had seven children, five of whom were still living in 1894 - Charles H., Walter, *James, John, Sarah. *James Lowe (b. 26Jan1838) md. Hannah Hostler of England on 19 April1859. James and Hannah had a son Charles H.S. (b.1860) who owned a hardware and bicycle lease/repair shop in Munnsville, Madison County during the late 1800's, early 1900's. Charles H.S. married Cecil Searles of Syracuse on 4Jan1882. He died in 1934 and is buried in Stockbridge Cemetary, Madison County. My great grandfather, William E. Lowe, either worked at or once owned the bicycle shop in Munnsville. William E. (b.1862, d.1949) of Cazenovia, Madison County md. Emma Burton (b.1849, d.1927) of Erieville, Madison County on 17Aug1884. William E. and Emma Lowe had a son Irving (b.1889, d.1972) who married Winona ?? (b.1889, d.1931). They had three children, Lewis and Laura who died young, and my father William O. Lowe. William E. and Emma, Irving and Winona, Lewis and Laura are all buried in Erieville Cemetary. We cannot find the connection between William E. Lowe and Charles H.S. Lowe. We cannot find who William E.'s parents are. Charles H.S. and William E. would have been close to the same age. The Lowe's pretty much stayed around Madison County. We have a picture of the 7th Annual Lowe Family Reunion at Castle Park taken in 1931. Does anyone know

The bicycle shop was next to a hardware store and the whole building was owned by Charles H.S.LOWE. William E. LOWE md. Emma BURTON on 17Aug1884 in New Woodstock, Madison County. William and Emma BURTON LOWE had at least 2 children: Irving (b.1889-d.1972) and Bernice "Bern" (b.late 1800's and md. Robert ANDREWS). Irving md. Winona ?? (b.1889-d.1931). Irving and Winona LOWE had at least 3 children: Laura (d. at birth in 1921), Lewis (b.1929-d.1936), William O. (my father who d. in 1991). William E. & Emma, Irving & Winona, Laura & Lewis were buried in Erieville Cemtary along with Emma's family, the BURTON's. Little is known about them. John and Amanda BURTON may be her parents. Charles H.S.LOWE md. Cecil SEARLES and had 3 children: George (who also worked at the bicycle shop in 1900), Harry, and Ena. Charles H.S. had a sister Ada md. Henry FREEMAN and had a daughter Edith. Charles H.S.LOWE's father James LOWE emigrated from Norfolk, England with his family in 1850 at the age of 12. James LOWE had 6 other siblings: Septimus (b.1846-d.1860), Walter (b.1841-d.1926), Charles H. (lived in Oneida), John (lived in Siloam), Sarah (md.TEFFT and lived in Oneida), unknown sibling. Charles H.S.LOWE, James LOWE along with wife Hannah HOSTLER, Walter LOWE are all buried in Stockbridge Cemetary, Madison County. We think John LOWE may have md. Mary BARNES and they are buried in Fairview Cemetary, Pratt's Hollow, Madison County. William E. LOWE and Charles H.S.LOWE were around the same age and we are trying to find the family connection. We have no other family data further back than William E., no clue as to who his parents were. If anyone has any info on the LOWE family of Madison County, it would be appreciated. Willard Whipple's tombstone states he was born in Cazenovia NY
Aug 30 1796 son of Jeremiah. I have discovered that Jeremiah was
briefly in Ohio after leaving NY, and finally came to Dearborn Co IN
where he had a falling out with his sons as he had married a much
younger 2nd wife. He must have left Cazenovia a very rich man as he
gave his five sons $12500 each which was an enormous sum in 1820
and he broke off relations with them and moved to and later died in
Decatur Co IN. Willard also had brothers Lawrence b c1805, Elias b
c1801 both in New York. With that amount of money the Whipples
should have been prominent in Cazenovia. Can anyone help??????
