Funeral services for Mrs. Ida M. Or-
cutt, who died Wednesday afternoon
at her home 115 Stroud street will be
held at the home Saturday afternoon
at 2 o'clock. Rev. A. Stearns, of the
Presbyterian church will officiate and
interment will be in Oneida Castle
cemetery.
Mrs. Orcutt was the wife of Norman
Orcutt and was born in Lakeport 78
years ago. The family lived at Oneida
Castle for many years but had made
their home here for about 15 years.
Mrs. Orcut was twice married.
Surviving besides her husband is a
son Joseph Legget of Durhamville,
a grandson Kenneth Bushnell, and a
granddaughter Gene Bushnell of this
village, a sister Mrs. Miranda Smith
of Bridgeport. Funeral arrangements
are in charge of C. Fred Cambell an
Oneida undertaker.
She was married to Norman ORCUTT.
She was married to Grant Ingalls BORTLE. Children were: John BORTLE.
Mrs. Mary E. Ingalls, 78, widow of
Nicholas Ingalls died at the home of
her son, Thomas Duffy in Middle-
town Saturday. The body was brought
to Canastota Monday evening and
the funeral was held Tuesday morn-
ing at Saint Agatha's church. Rev. D.
M. Hennessey officiating. Burial
was in St. Agatha's cemetery. Mrs.
Ingalls was twice married, her first
husband, being Christopher Duffy
whom many Canastotans will rem-
ember. She leaves two sons, Thom-
as and Christopher of Middletown
and one daughter, Mrs. James Conley
of Syracuse.
She was buried in Saint Agatha.

ONEIDA-Gladys Adle Ingalls, 89, 411 Fultz Drive, died Tuesday eve-
ning, Dec. 29, 1998, in the Extended Care Facility of the Oneida Health-
care Center, where she had been a resident for the past 5 1/2 months.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1909 in Durhamville, the daughter of
Clarence and Florence Mason Adle.
A lifelong resident of the area, she was educated in the Oneida Schools.
Mrs. Ingalls married Adon C. Ingalls on June 26, 1929, in Oneida. Mr.
Ingalls died on Feb. 25, 1971.
Mrs. Ingalls attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Charles A. and Linda In-
galls of Sherrill; one son-in-law, Walter Morgan of Munnsville, one sister,
Marjorie Peebles of Oneida; five grandchildren, Tracy Crago, Melida In-
galls, Melodys Reed, Michael Morgan and Mia Van Slyke; seven great-
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Dona Morgan
died on Nov. 18, 1997. (See Death Notice.
