Mr. Ingalls was driver of the Pe-
terboro stage between Canastota
and that place for a number of
years and was also owner and op-
erator of a milk route for 28 years.
He ran a general store in Syracuse
for 3 years and had operated a gen-
eral store at Peterboro the past 5
years.
He was born May 15, 1878 in
Merrillsville a son of the late Frank
Ingalls and Mary Ann Butler. He

Hollis Ingalls, aged 62, died sudden-
ly at his home at Peterboro Monday
morning of a heat attack. He had
been proprietor of a general
store in
Peterboro for more tha 30 years and
had held other local offices. He had
spent most of his life in Peterboro and
was one of the best known men of
the locality. He had been in failing
health for several months but had
been able to be up and about his
home and occasionally worked out-
side. He was re-elected town clerk at
the fall election on the Republican
ticket.
There are surviving his widow, Mrs.
Grace Ingalls and three brothers, Har-
ry Ingalls of Alene and Clarence and
James both of the Town of Lincoln.
Funeral services were held Thursday
and burial was in the Peterboro cem-
tery.

James Ingalls of Rochester, a former

his brother, Harry Ingalls.
Surviving besides the brother is

Miss Jessie Fremont Ingalls a former
resident of
Wampsville died last week at
the home of her sister, Mrs. H. J. Hitch-
cock of Lee Centre with whom she had
made her home for the past fifteen years,
Death was caused by fibroid phthsis or
consumption of the fibers from which
she had suffered for some time. Mrs. In-
galls conducted a millinery establishment
at Lee Centre. She had an extensive
trade and just before her death had pur-
chased a building for her business. She
had a lovable disposition and fine char-
acter and her death is mourned by many
friends. Thhe funeral was held at the
home of her sister, at 9 a. m. Monday,
Rev. George Dermott officiating, The
bearers were Phineas D. Ingalls, Willis
D. Ingalls, S. Stuart Ingalls, and G. E.
Hollenbeck, all relatives of the decesed.
Interment was made in the cemetery at
Wampsville, the former home of the de-
ceased.
