Also, she knows of a Dennis Schafer that lives in Clarence Center but he
doesen't belong to that church. I also had notes on same paper (info from

Eggertsville is married to Marvin Schafer. Or visa/versa? (I discarded paper,
these were ALL my notes.) RE: SCHAFER / BARCHE

NOTE: I searched the BB Archives of Prodigy and found a post by Alison Wallner
of Michigan concerning a relative George Schafer of "Falz", I e-mailed her and
below is her reply dtd 12/7/96:
"Hi Bud! As far as I am able to determine, there seems to be no conection
between our Schafers. But that's not saying much, as this line is my "brick
wall"! My George Schafer was born Dec 1844 and all I know for certain is that
he was attending school in Elmshausen (Bensheim, Hesse Darmstadt) in 1856! No
record of his birth there, although there are a bunch of Schafers in the area
(and all over Germany!) He married Catherine
Dutweiler/Duckweiler, and then
Marie Barbara Allmendinger (?) Children: Elizabeth, Louis, Mary, Teresa and
George. He was a brewer, lived in NYC/Brooklyn NY area, and also somewhere in
PA. Have no idea of brothers yet, year of immig to US, etc. and it's like
searching for a needle in a haystack! Have copied your note, and will let you
know if anything turns up that might connect our GGrandfathers! Alison"
