Evelyn L. Buyea, 75, of Oxbow Rd., died July 23, 1996 at the Oneida Healthcare Center Emergency Room shortly after her admission from home. She was born June 15, 1921 in the town of Stockbridge, the daughter of Charles and Effie Burgdoff Colclough. She attended Cazenovia schools. Mrs. Buyea married Alden C. Buyea on Oct 2, 1940 in Taberg. She had been a resident of Oxbow Rd. for the last 21 years, previously residing on West Milestrip Rd. Mrs. Buyea was employed by Diemolding in Canastota for 29 years, retiring in 1986. She was of the Methodist faith. Surviving besides her husband are two sons and three daughters-in-law, Wayne and Joanne Buyea of Canastota, Stanley and Barbara Buyea of Canastota and Constance Wilson od Deansboro; two sisters, Ollie Eddy of Durhamville and Lelia Mae Elwood of chittenango; seven grandchildren; five greart-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs Buyea was predeceased by a son, Ronald Buyea Sr., in 1976. Funeral services were held July 27 from the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., Oneida. The Rev. Neil Coe officiated. Burial was in the Lenox Rural Cemetery, Canastota. She was buried in Lenox Rural Cemetery, Canastota, NY. Alden C. BUYEA and Evelyn L. COLCLOUGH had the following children:
