Olin C. Buyea, formerly of Syracuse, died Monday, May 25, 1992 at his home in Lighthouse Point, Florida. He was a native of Oneida. Graveside services were held Saturday, May 30 in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida. He is survived locally by a niece, Glennis Bogue of Canastota, and a nephew, Alden Buyea of Canastota.

He was buried in Glenwood Cem, Oneida, Madison Co, NY.

He was married to N. Lucille. N. Lucille (1) was born in 1903 in Canton, Pa. She died in 1990 in Pompano Beach, Florida. She Obituary on 23 May 1990 in Syracuse, NY. Post Standard 23 May 1990 N. Lucile Buyea - Services for former Syracuse resident, N. Lucile Buyea, 87, who died Monday in Pompano Beach, Fla., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kraeer Sample Road Funeral Home, Pompano Beach. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1199 N.E. 36th St., Pompano Beach.

A native of Canton, Pa., Mrs. Buyea lived many years in Syracuse before moving to Lighthouse Point, Fla., in 1969. She retired in 1966 after 36 years as a teacher at Meacham Elementary School. Mrs. Buyea was a graduate of Munnsville High School and Cortland State Teachers College. Mrs. Buyea was a 50-year member of the Central City Chapter, OES, a member of the Deerfield Beach Chapter 153, OES, the Daughters of the Nile, the Coasterettes of the Gold Coast Shrine Club in Deerfield Beach, Fla., the Zef Club and the Jesterettes. Surviving are her husband, Olin C.; three nephews and a niece.
