Samuel Daniel Hollingsworth was born about 1783 in probably County Wexford, Ireland.⁽¹⁾ He emigrated in 1811 from Town of Eaton, Madison Co., NY.⁽²⁾⁽³⁾ He was buried in Feb 1850 in Spring Cemetery, Pratts Hollow, Madison Co., NY.⁽⁴⁾ He died on 6 Feb 1850 in Pratts Hollow, Madison Co., NY.⁽⁵⁾⁽⁶⁾ ⁽⁷⁾

He was married to Esther Hollingsworth before 1812. Esther Hollingsworth was born about 1788 in probably County Wexford, Ireland.⁽⁸⁾ Hollingsworth Register Vol. Six Number Two June 1970 No. 22 p. 56 contains a comment indicating that Esther's maiden name was Hollingsworth - ""This Thomas who wrote the 1843 letter was the child of Samuel and Esther (Hollingsworth) Hollingsworth."

She resided Stockbridge, Madison County, NY in 1852 in Stockbridge, Madison Co., NY.⁽⁹⁾ She was buried in Jul 1863 in Spring Cemetery, Pratts Hollow, Madison Co., NY. She died on 1 Jul 1863 in Eaton, Madison Co., NY.⁽¹⁰⁾ Samuel Daniel Hollingsworth and Esther Hollingsworth had the following children:

Elinor Hollingsworth was born on 7 Nov 1813 in Town of Eaton, Madison Co., NY.⁽¹¹⁾⁽¹²⁾ She was buried in Jun 1840 in Fairview Cemetery, Bear Path, Munnsville, Madison Co., NY.⁽¹³⁾ She died on 16 Jun 1840.⁽¹³⁾ She was also known as Hellen.⁽¹⁴⁾ Elanor, daughter of Samuel and Esther, shares the same date of death, age at death and parents as Helen, daughter of Samuel and Esther, who is buried at Spring Cemetery in Pratts Hollow.

Hollingsworth was born on 3 Jan 1819 in Town of Eaton, Madison Co., NY.⁽¹⁵⁾⁽¹⁶⁾ He resided in 1843 in probably Brockville, Leeds County, Ontario, Canada.⁽¹⁷⁾ He was buried in Mar 1844 in Spring Cemetery, Pratts Hollow, Madison Co., NY.⁽¹³⁾⁽¹⁸⁾ He died on 6 Mar 1844.⁽¹⁹⁾⁽²⁰⁾ ⁽²¹⁾ He was Thomas died unmarried.
