  Arthur M. Stannard, 65, of 305 N. Lake St., died at the Oneida City Hospital, yesterday afternoon, 
following a long illness. 
  Born in Spokane, Washington Dec. 24, 1908, he was the son of Albert and Clara Whitestein Stannard. He 
married the former Constance M, Vaccaro in Utica on Jan. 11, 1937. He had been a resident of Oneida for 
the past 30 years. 
  Mr. Stannard was last employed by the Copeland Oil Company, Verona for the past several years, 
retiring in 1971. 
  He served in the Army with the Signal Corp for three years. 
  He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, 421 and a member of B.P.O. Elks No. 767. He was a 
communinicant of St. Joseph's Church. He was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. 
  Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Connie Marie, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Enos and 
Miss Lena Stannard both of Utica; one cousin, Rena Boutwell of Sauquoit; and several nieces and nephews, 
including the Rev. Michael J. Carmola.
